It's Quote from Cave Story! And made completely from scratch!I worked on it on and off this week.you know, with school and stuff. The gun.i dunno. It looks like a weird mix between the Polar Star and the Nemesis. But it looks more like the former. Let's just say it's the Polar Star.He has King's sword on his back. The original sprite is hereEnjoy. Please do not steal. And if you haven't played Cave Story before, then do it. NOW.Make sure you play Cave Story Wii!
Well, I didn't find it boring at all, and I didn't have any problem telling the greens apart. However, I also didn't know who the character is, but Google filled me in!
It's out on WiiWare for 1200 Wii Points!EDIT: I curved King's sword a bit.here's how it originally looked. It'd take a long time, and my skills are probably even more lackluster by now.not to mention, I hardly have time for much anyways because of all my endless homework.but given your request, I'll see if I can at least come up with another animated GIF or something. It wouldn't hurt to flex my artistic muscle again (at least.it shouldn't hurt. And if I don't get around to it now, I'll definitely try it during my month-long winter break. If I do end up making one, I'll be sure to let you know. Aw, thanks! It is indeed a great game.
And although it's somewhat short, it is pretty easy to feel some emotions for the characters, something which a lot of games don't do nowadays. There are a lot of great remixes to the soundtrack out there, too (e.g. 'Cave Story - Remix Project', stuff on ocremix.org, a few on YouTube, etc.).There are saves here for the PC version:You just take out the.DAT file from the zip file that you choose to download, rename it 'Profile'(.DAT), and replace the Profile.DAT file in your Cave Story folder with the one you just downloaded and named.Happy playing!

Status: Dead. Synopsis: The twitter accounts of Quote and Curly Brace, respectively, providing updates as they experience those last crazy days on Mimiga Island—and in Quote's case, intermittent updates afterwards. Comments: This sticks close to the game canon (specifically, the good ending), with fanon to fill in some gaps. The characterization of Quote is rather humorous, as he clearly considers himself the on Mimiga Island, and reacts to the bizarre NPCs, enemies, and ecosystem with a mix of incredulity and snark. I also like how he begins the story motivated primarily by selfishness and boredom, but develops more heroic motivations over the course of events. Status: Complete. Synopsis: The Three Laws of Robotics governs the way that a robot lives and serves humans. With Quote's memories fragmented, he is the only one able to disobey them. Curly Brace has a new mission now, to save him from the stranger inside himself. Comments: An odd idea for a story, but brilliantly and very emotionally executed; if you don't at least tear up at the ending, you are not human.
Quote and Curly are characterized well, and there are some nice touches, such as giving Quote a last name. Seconded; the ending (and the beginning as well) pack a huge wallop of emotion. Pairing: Sue/Kanpachi. Synopsis: It's been a year after the events of Cave Story, and ever since Sue returned from the island, she's been in a slump, and she can't stop thinking about the island. She decides to return there to figure out why she feels drawn back, and ends up finding more than she'd thought she would. Comments: A pretty good fanfiction. Sue and Kanpachi's relationship is grown slowly, and the characters' characterization is pretty well done.
Fan Games and These are games either made from scratch or sometimes with created by using Cave Story's game engine.started by Mark 'shmitz' Major, completed by ZarroTsu on May 4th, 2014. Recommended by Tropers/GBAuraRebirth. Synopsis: A fan sequel to. Quote, Curly, and Balrog are suddenly transported back to The Island by Jenka, with no explanation beyond 'Help me'. Quote must once again navigate the Island, but a lot has changed. Comments: A very well-made sequel, characterization keeps well to the original story and follows immediately from the ending of Sacred Grounds.
Just a small warning, Jenka's Nightmare: Revived (by MagicDoors) is not this game, they are vastly different from each other. However, that said mod is what drove the creator to rebuild the entire game from scratch because of how much it irked him. If you played that game or saw it on Youtube, you'll probably understand why.
